XoftSpySE, a spyware detection tool developed by ParetoLogic, can give your system a thorough going over and remove any spyware that makes its way on it. The scans can be triggered on demand, or they can be scheduled to take place automatically. On top of this, XoftSpySE can also help you manage the applications that automatically load at startup.

The XoftSpySE installation file is only 4.1MB in size. You can install the application on a 32 or 64-bit edition of Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7. The setup wizard that helps you get this antispyware tool up and running will ask you to choose between a Default and Custom Installation (set up automatic updates, choose if you want a desktop icon, select if you want the application to start at login, pick if you want a quick launch icon).

To access the functionality XoftSpySE has to offer, you will have to click through the six buttons presented on the left hand side on its interface: Scan (start a system scan), Ignore (a list of items selected to be ignored during scans), Backup (a list of items automatically backed up after a clean), Schedule (set it up so scans are performed automatically), Tools (a Startup Editor and a BHO Editor), About.

Just click on the “Start Scan” button to get XoftSpySE to give your PC a good going over and uncover any spyware that made its way onto it. You can choose one of three types of scans: Full Scan (your entire system will be scanned), Quick Scan (your system will be rapidly scanned), and Custom Scan (you pick the settings and the scan runs according to what you specify). If you don’t want to perform an on-demand scan, you can use the scheduler function and XoftSpySE will automatically perform a scan based on the schedule you create.
